PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
‘E ako ana, ā, e tipu tahi ana tātou’ - Learning and growing together.
Kia ora Koutou
We were so lucky to be able to go ahead with our outdoor education day at Tirohanga last Thursday. The weather leading up to the day certainly kept us on our toes, but thankfully we were able to take part as planned.
Tirohanga Day is a great way for the East Taieri School vision ‘Empower, Inspire and Care’ to be demonstrated. The staff always come back from the day so proud of our children. From the Year 6 Leaders who step up, look after, lead and inspire others, to the brand new 5 year olds, who join groups of children and have a go at things they have never tried before. To see the new friendships being made, children helping others, the perseverance and resilience being shown in every group and activity is fantastic, and we are so pleased we were able to go ahead.
A huge thank you to Mr Thorn for organising, to the parents who gave up their time to come along and support the children, and to the staff for making the day run so smoothly.
COVID UPDATE
There were five children and one staff member with covid reported last week.
