SPORTS INFORMATION - WEEK 4

Jolene Casey —

If your child is keen on playing any sport, please keep a close eye on the School Sports Website, the Newsletter, and our School Face Book page to make sure you do not miss out on any registration closing dates or information. We have cut offs dates from the Regional Sporting Organisations that we have to have teams entered by, so your late registrations can not always be accepted into our teams.

While we don't want any children to miss out on taking part in sports, with the late registrations it is becoming very hard to manage. We have had an increasing number of late registrations over the past couple of seasons and it is making it very difficult to organise teams.

A reminder that SCHOOL SPORTS are VACCINE MANDATED, so you will need your vaccine passport to enter any venues for sports events.

Please keep checking back into our school sports website, the registrations for winter sports will open up nearer the end of this term.

For further information about any of the sports available see our school sports website.

Cricket Smash

Games begin this Tuesday 22nd of February at Brooklands Park in Mosgiel at 3.40pm.  All participants will get more information in an email.  Just awaiting further details from Otago Cricket.

Touch

Games are underway, some great smiles on faces last week as everyone was able to have a good run around.

The draw is available below and also on the school sports website and the Otago Touch website.  See below for the new field layout map too.

Futsal

We have 2 teams registered to play this term. Year 3/4 start on Tuesday 1st of March and Year 5/6 team starts on Wednesday 2nd of March.  (Note the change of week).

Unfortunately our Year 1/2 children do not have enough to form a team.  Hopefully more little people will be keen to  play during term 4.

Flippa Ball

The games are all underway at Moana Pool. Good luck to our 2 teams for this season. The draw for the season is on our school sports website.

Weet Bix Tryathlon

This has been cancelled and all participants who had registered should have had an email from the organisers.  If you had registered your child but have not been contacted please let Jolene know.
