SPORTS INFORMATION - WEEK 6

Rachel Phillips —

We had a busy week of sports last week with the TSSA Cross Country, Miniball semi finals, the end of the hockey season celebrations and a visit for some lucky Rm 1&2 children from the Southern Hoiho Women's Basketball team.

Congratulations to all our miniball players who have played this season. A special congratulations to our Yr 4 Lakers team who will play in their Yr 4 second division final this afternoon at 4pm and the Yr 5/6 Sharks and Hawks who will play each other in the Yr 5/6 Division 3 final on Tuesday afternoon. Good luck to Yr 2/3 Shooters who are playing off for 3rd and 4th in Yr 3 Division 1 section after a narrow 2 goal loss in the semi finals last week. And finally good luck to our Yr 2/3 Knicks who are playing off for 3rd and 4th in the Yr 2/3 Division 2 grade.

Hockey has now finished for the season. It looks like your final game/ blue and gold celebration day was lots of fun!

Good luck to our netball girls who will be playing their last game of the season this Saturday.

I will post the registration links in the newsletter, on the school sports website and on the school facebook page.

Children who are interested in playing cricket, I am still waiting information from Cricket Otago to see if they are running a Taieri Hub this year. I will update you as soon as I hear back from them.
