TIGER WRITING

Rachel Ovens —

In Rooms 11 and 12 we have been inquiring about India. In India there are lots of special places, animals, foods and arts. One animal in particular that the children enjoyed researching about, was the Indian Tiger. Here are a couple of their stories we would like to share with you.

Tigers are the biggest cat on earth. Tigers can be black and orange and snow tigers are white and black. Tigers have a very loud roar. Tigers like to swim in water to cool them down. Tigers stalk their prey. Tigers can camouflage in snow if they are snow tigers. Orange and black tigers can camouflage in fire. Tigers can not out run any animal. Tigers are in danger. There are not much more tigers. The only thing killing tigers is humans.

Cats at home don't like swimming in water but tigers do like swimming. When tigers are two years old they have to live by themselves. A 100 years ago there were heaps of tigers because there were not many people. Tigers are in danger because people are killing them. Tigers are the top of the food chain. Tigers eat meat because they are carnivores. Tigers eat people because people try to kill them. People are cutting trees down so tigers don't have many places to live and not much food to eat.
