WALK N WHEEL WEEK 5 - 9 MARCH

Lisa Agnew —

Walk n Wheel Week is an annual event used to ‘kick start’ Active Transport for the school year.

At East Taieri School we try to inspire our students to be fit and active.

Walk n Wheel Week aims to:

  • Encourage and promote active modes of transport, such as scooting, biking and walking.

  • Get kids, parents and schools thinking about Active Transport.

We would love to see as many students as possible walking or wheeling to and from school.  For those students who are unable to walk all the way to school we suggest dropping them off at one of our drop off zones and letting students walk part of the way to school

There are great spot prizes up for grabs, and the names of students who have walked or wheeled every day of Walk n Wheel to School Week will have a chance to win many other exciting prizes. The higher the percentage of students who walk or wheel to school each day, the greater the chance to win the best prizes.

We

Reasons to walk or wheel to school
