The tigers finally got to play their first game of the year after having games continually rained off. The game was great they were all so we'll prepared to get back out for their first game of the year, they showed great teamwork to each other and the other team who were short players, Zachery hit some great shots and and Hamish listened well and displayed great teamwork which earned him player of the day putting his hand up to play backstop.

Saturday 12th March

Though the morning started with rain the whole team turned up to play the Wakari White socks. The friendly matched had the Tigers showing off their great team work out in the field. The kids were all well focused and Alfie Thomson took player of the day for taking his time to ensure his batting was top notch.

Hockey

Registrations are open for Junior Hockey in Term 2 and 3 Check out the school sports website for more information and also the link below for the form to fill in.

Hockey is played in Dunedin at the main turf on Harbour Terrace and at Kings High School and also on the new turf at Taieri College. It is played on a Wednesday afterschool from 3.45 - 6.00pm.

Hockey is for all children from Years 3-6. There are some other hockey options available for the Year 1-2 children during different parts of the term. Keep an eye on the website and newsletters for these too.

The children do not need to have a hockey stick to play as we can lend you one from school, so it's a great opportunity to give it a go first before spending money on gear.
