A number of children have smart watches and are using these to text or phone during school time. This is causing issues for staff. If your child has a smart watch at school please ensure that it is set to school mode. If you need to contact your child please email the class teacher or contact the office.

East Taieri School does not allow students to have cellphones or text-capable devices at school.

If a student brings a phone or text-capable device to school, they must hand it in to the office before school, and pick it up again after school. If a student is observed with a phone or text-capable device, they will be asked to take it to the office.

If possible, students should lock their phones and text-capable devices before handing it to staff. Cellphones and text-capable devices may not be taken on EOTC events.
