WHOLE SCHOOL TRAMP

Garth Powell —

Our whole school tramp is this Friday 6th April and the children will be exploring the Ross Creek/McGouns tracks in Dunedin, finishing up at Woodhaugh gardens for lunch.

Thank you to all who have offered to help. Unfortunately there is no room on the bus for parents. We suggest that all parents meet at school at the following times so we can co-ordinate car pooling because you will need to have cars at either end of the tramp.

  • SENIORS at 9.00am in Room 3

  • MIDDLE at 9.30am in the Hub

  • JUNIORS at 10.00am in Room 9

The tramp will have staggered starts:

Seniors leave at 9.15am

MiddleTeam at 9.45am

Junior Team at 10.15am.

All the children will start at the entrance to Ross Creek on Cannington Road, Maori Hill.

Parents – if you are not assisting on the tramp, you are very welcome to join us for lunch at Woodhaugh Gardens from approximately 12 noon.

The children will need:

  • a packed lunch, water bottle

  • snacks for stops along the way

  • a waterproof jacket and warm clothing and shoes suitable for walking.

Children to wear appropriate mufti. The children will be carrying their backpacks some of which are very large, if you have a smaller backpack this would be better suited for the day (NO BACKPACKS WITH WHEELS)

The children will return to school by bus at 2pm. If the weather is very cold and wet we have Monday 9th April as our postponement date. Cancellations will be on the school’s Facebook page, Skool Loop app and the school website from 7.30 am. The tramp will provide a great opportunity for the children to enjoy and appreciate our beautiful outdoors.
