Kia ora Koutou
I hope that the long weekend was enjoyed by everyone, especially the stunning day on Sunday.
World Teachers' Day is an annual event that is celebrated in over 100 countries around the world and is to be celebrated in Australia and New Zealand this Friday 28 October.
In 2022, the theme for World Teachers' Day is 'Teachers: leading in crisis, reimagining the future'. With learning being an essential part of life and a child's development, teachers play a crucial role in society. They are responsible for teaching the leaders and innovators of tomorrow, and World Teachers' Day is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the ways that teachers have responded to unforeseeable circumstances over the past few years.
East Taieri Athletics
There were some excellent results at last week's Athletic Sports Day with some great 'Personal Bests' achieved. I am always impressed at how encouraging and supportive our students are of one another. Congratulations to those who have qualified for the Taieri Athletic Sports which take place next week.
Sunhats
A reminder that wide brimmed school sunhats are to be worn by students this term during outside activities.
BOT Meeting
Board of Trustees meeting tonight at 5.45pm in the school staffroom.
Enjoy the short week ahead.
