POLYFEST UPDATE

Janine Clague —

As you’re already aware, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has meant that it’s now vital to limit social contact and avoid gathering. As we remain at Level 2, and we do not know when this will change, we have made the difficult decision to withdraw from this year’s Polyfest.

There are a few reasons for this. While the Polyfest is still going ahead at level 2, it will be live-streamed rather than to an actual audience, and with current number restrictions we will not be allowed to take all of our Kapa Haka participants.

While we know this is disappointing, we hope you can understand the reasons behind our decision. We hope, instead, to host a cultural assembly later in Term 4, providing our tamariki an opportunity to perform for friends and whānau.

Ngā mihi maioha for your continued understanding and support.
