Welcome back to Term 2 and a special welcome to our new students and their whanau. I hope that everyone enjoyed the extended holiday break. It is great to welcome back Janine Clague to Kohekohe - Room One, after her sabbatical leave, also Sarah Esplin who starts the extra New Entrant class in Kauri - Room 13 with her little group of new 5 year olds.

SCHOOL TRAMP

As part of Term One's Inquiry 'Our Journeys' the whole school took part in a tramp during the last week of Term One, exploring different parts of Saddle Hill. The Junior Team walked halfway up, Middle Team three quarters of the way and the Senior students walked to the top of Saddle Hill. What a great day it was, as well as being such a lovely way to end the term. A big thank you to Peter Thorn and Jo Hackfath for organising the tramp for us and thanks also to the parents who joined us for the day.

ANZAC SERVICE

Thank you to our Year 6 students who led our special ANZAC service this afternoon. A special thanks to Ah-Lek Tay for playing 'The Last Post' for us.
