East Taieri School in association with Sport Otago and the DCC developed a Travel Plan to promote active means of transport to and from school, and reduce congestion in our carpark.  As part of this the team developed a ‘Walk and Wheel to School’ map. The map shows safe drop off points where the children can walk to school from.  These are numbered and indicated by a blue person and have the distances to school.  We would love to see more children using these drop off points to help alleviate the traffic challenges we are facing and encourage children to be more active and independent.
