ROAD PATROLLERS AT THE ORANGE DAY PARADE

Lisa Agnew —

Last Friday, the 27th of November, all of the Year 6 road patrollers took part in an Orange Parade.

This was an event to congratulate road patrollers for all of their hard work throughout the year.

We were dropped off by the bus at the Dental School, where the police welcomed us and gave us wristbands to show that we were part of the school road patrol team.  Our parade of road patrollers walked down George Street (in the rain) to the Octagon and waited for the Mayor to address us. After he had talked to us, we got back on the buses.  These took us to the glorious Moana Pool. We raced to the changing rooms, got our togs on, and cannon-balled in!

It was a really fun day and I enjoyed it a lot.
