40 HOUR FAMINE

Lisa Agnew —

Congratulations to all those East Taieri students who took part in the 40 Hour Famine over the weekend.

The 40 Hour Famine is New Zealand’s largest youth fundraiser, running annually for more than 40 years. Every year nearly 100,000 participants across the country give something up for 20-40 hours and raise money to support children in developing countries.

This year the money raised for the 40 Hour Famine will go towards bringing essentials, such as food and clean water, shelter, education and hope for a better future, to the thousands of South Sudanese children who have fled for their lives across the border to Uganda.

If took part in the 40 Hour Famine, please return the money you have fundraised to school before June 29th.
