During Term 1 we asked parents to complete a survey about reporting and assessment at East Taieri School.

Thank you to everyone who completed the survey about reporting and assessment at East Taieri School during Term 1. We had a high response rate.

The following information was gathered:

• 68% of respondents have limited knowledge of Real Time Reporting

• Effort and attitude was the most important information parents like to receive

• This was followed by Reading, writing and maths information

• Next most important was the General Comment

• Over 90% of parents want to find out more about Real Time Reporting

Concerns were as follows:

• The workload for teachers was of concern to parents

• Parents want to know there will be consistency across classes/ the school

• Parents want more information about Real Time reporting and how it will look/work

Following this:

• We intend to move to real Time Reporting at the start of 2024.

• We will continue with a revised report at Mid and End Year for 2023. This will be on HERO, but parents will still be able to print these from HERO.

• Whanau will have access to information about real Time Reporting over the next 3 terms.

• Whanau Connect will be revised and introduced.
