SPORTS INFORMATION - WEEK 10

Rachel Phillips —

Thank you to everyone who has registered their child to play summer sports. Next term we will have all of our summer sports up and running. This week is the last chance to get your child signed up for Futsal. Flippa ball, and T-ball registrations are open and will close at the end of the holidays. I am still waiting for information about cricket - please keep a close eye on the school sports website and Facebook page over the holidays for registration details.

Touch:

We had another fantastic Spring afternoon for touch last week. It's fabulous to see so many East Taieri children on the fields playing touch and having fun.

Results:

ET Green played Fairfield Ferns in a close, fast game. Final result was a narrow loss 2-3. Runaway tries scored by Charlotte L & Teniva. Player of the day was Teniva.

ET Navy: A fast paced game. St Mary's were very good opponents it was definitely a step up from last week. Player of the day was Jude L for his excellent covering defense.

ET Pink had an amazing game against Silverstream. The girls played well as a team and also showed some individual brilliance. Player of the day was Milla.

I love sharing the results from all sports games. Coaches and managers, please email me a summary of your teams game so we can share with the school community.

Last Monday we had a group of East Taieri children trial to make it into the U12 girls and boys Taieri Plains Touch rep teams. Well done to the East Taieri children who trialed, it was great experience for all of you. A special congratulations to Charlotte L, Elzanne H, Indee A, Charlie C, Felix S and Lennox T-K for making the team.
