SPORTS INFORMATION - WEEK 9
It definitely felt like Winter sport this week! Great work to all our East Taieri teams, keep training and playing hard.
If you are looking ahead to next term, all 3 of our main winter codes, miniball, netball and hockey continue through most of next term too. Nearer the end of Term 3 we will be opening registrations for Touch, Futsal, Flippa Ball and T Ball, keep an eye out for these.
Miniball
A notice from Taieri Miniball management - Can all coaches, managers and parents please ensure that you DO NOT go down the sideline of the court at any stage throughout the game. It is a health and safety issue and disrupting for the referees. Thank you.
The policy with SNOW DAYS for miniball is that if schools are closed on that day, there is NO Miniball for that day. If it is a late start, then miniball continues as normal after school.
ALL children NEED a mouth guard to play miniball, so please ensure you have this ready to go.
ET Jazz Game Report - A gritty win against a tough Fairfield team this week. The team played most of the game with just 5 players. A fantastic result to pull away with a 19-16 win. Keep up the hard work boys!
Hockey
Draw for this week:
Yr 3/4 Speedy Sticks vs St Mary's - 4.25pm McMillan Hockey Turf, OPT
Yr 5/6 Super Sticks vs SFX Tigers - 4.25pm McMillan Hockey Turf, LFT
Netball
It has been wonderful to see so many teams out practicing at lunchtimes. I'm sure your hard work is showing on the court.
