PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Jennifer Horgan —

‘E ako ana, ā, e tipu tahi ana tātou’ - Learning and growing together.

Kia ora Koutou

There were some excellent results at last week's Taieri Schools' Athletic Sports Champs and all competitors should be very proud of their achievements. (See results later in newsletter.) Congratulations to those who have qualified for the Otago Champs. Best wishes to swimmers who are competing in Saturday's Otago Schools' Swimming Champs.

Our Year 6 students head off to Camp Columba tomorrow for fun-filled days of new challenges and experiences. We hope that they have a great time with fine weather.

We are hearing of a few cases of Covid in the community. Please notify us of any cases within the school.

CLASSES FOR NEXT YEAR

The Leadership Team will shortly be looking at composition of classes for next year. Should you wish to discuss placement of your child/children for next year regarding academic, social issues, etc, please contact me by phone or email, or contact the office to make an appointment to see me by WEDNESDAY 16 NOVEMBER.

SCHOOL STRUCTURE FOR 2023:

Because of year level numbers and to enable us to organise the school within our staffing entitlement, this means that for 2023 approximately 24 Year 4s will move to the Senior School and 22 Year 2s will move to the Middle School. We have only 34 Year 6s next compared with 56 this year. This will mean that the school structure will be very different next year.
