Kiwiana Enviroschools Group
We have a very enthusiastic and passionate group of Middle and Senior students that meet every Thursday morning in Term 4 to discuss and plan how we can care for nature. On Thursday, Tahu, from the Orokonui Ecosanctuary, came to visit us. She liked hearing what part of nature that each of us enjoy the most. She dressed Ollie as a kiwi and we played a version of cat and mouse to keep the predators out of the fenced-off sanctuary to protect the endangered species. Then we went outside and plotted the native trees on our school property on a school map. We are looking forward to visiting the Ecosanctuary on November 24th.
