This liferaft emphasises the importance of making sure we think before we say and do things. It prompts the children to think about how the things they say and do might impact on themselves and those around them.

Some key questions that we get students to think about are:

• Why does thinking before we say and do things keep us and those around us safe?

• Why is it difficult to trust someone who doesn’t think before they say and do things?

• Some people think that you have less fun if your actions and words are controlled by your thinking.  What do you think and why?

• How does having reasons for the things you say and do make it easier to work with others, be understood, or be trusted?

• Why is "If it feels good, do it" a dangerous idea to live by?
