PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Jennifer Horgan —

‘E ako ana, ā, e tipu tahi ana tātou’ - Learning and growing together.

Kia ora koutou

Our successful first term has ensured that there has been a really positive start to the school year for 2021. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to school life throughout the term, helping with camps, sporting events, school activities, trips and Home & School events.

We have had so many sporting successes this term, with the most recent being the excellent achievements of our triathlon teams and swimmers who competed in the Otago Champs. Congratulations to these athletes who have been such fabulous ambassadors for East Taieri School. See results in sporting news articles later in the newsletter.

A reminder that our ANZAC service will be held at school at 11.30am on Wednesday morning. Whanau are welcome to join us. Student Council members will be taking poppies around the classes throughout this week - a gold coin donation for poppies please.

A reminder that our next BOT meeting takes place tomorrow evening, Tuesday13 April at 5.30pm. A reminder also of the Home & School AGM the following evening, at 6pm Wednesday 14th April.

Best wishes for a relaxing and enjoyable term break. We look forward to seeing everyone back refreshed and ready to start Term 2 on Monday 3 May.
