What a great effort from everyone for our Daffodil Day Fundraiser. $530 was raised for the Cancer Society. There were some fabulous yellow outfits, making the day bright and colourful. Thank you for your support of this event.
The Kawakawa/Tōtara, Room 7/8 Museum Sleepover last week was a great success, enjoyed by everyone, althought there were were a few jaded children, (and parents) on the return to school on Friday.
There were such positive comments about the Year 5/6 Sports Day at the Edgar Centre last Friday, from children, teachers and coaches. The Edgar Centre coaches commented on the excellent behaviour and sportsmanship of our East Taieri students.
I managed to catch the netball games of our teams on Saturday morning. It was great to see so many students playing and so good to hear about how much each team had improved throughout the season. A big thank you to the coaches, managers and supportive parents and whānau.
We are looking forward to seeing Dads/special family members join their children for Father's Day lunch on Friday at 12.30pm.
Good luck to those athletes who qualified for the Otago Cross Country Champs which take place on Friday.
Enjoy the sunshine and the week ahead.
