PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Jennifer Horgan —

‘E ako ana, ā, e tipu tahi ana tātou’ - Learning and growing together.

Kia ora Koutou

I hope that everyone enjoyed the long weekend with its warm temperatures. Unfortunately for the first group of Year 5 campers, the great weather didn't last and they have headed off to Tirohanga this morning in rainy conditions, hoping that things improve.

NATIVE SEEDLINGS GIVEN TO STUDENTS

Following a great assembly hosted by Mataī and Mānuka - Rooms 11 and 12 last Friday, Letitia McRodden, Customer and Stakeholder Manager for Downer spoke to the school about the roadworks that have just been completed around East Taieri and Downer's efforts around sustainability and reducing carbon emissions. Letitia talked about the work that Downer is doing and how trees and plants are one way to help. Each child was given a native seedling to take home. If you don't have a place in your garden for your seedling you are welcome to send seedlings back to school.

Enjoy the short week ahead.
