YEAR 4 MUSEUM SLEEPOVER

Garth Powell —

On Thursday afternoon the Year 4 children from  Rooms 3 and 7 headed off to the Otago Museum for our annual Year 4 museum sleepover. The children were very excited!

When we arrived at the museum we had to carry all of our bags and gear up so many flights of stairs to get to the classroom above Tuhura (the science centre). We got to do so many cool things. We went on a museum gallery trail, had a private show at the planetarium, played in Tuhura after the museum closed, ate pizza and slept in Tuhura - next to all of the science stuff! During the night there was lots of snoring (mostly from the parents).

In the morning we explored the butterfly enclosure and played some more in Tuhura, then headed to the Edgar Centre for games of soccer and netball. This was followed by Subway for lunch and then swimming and our own exclusive hydroslide time at  Moana Pool.

By the time the children, parents and teachers returned to school on Friday afternoon, there were a lot of tired but very happy people!

The Year 4's from Rooms 4 and 8 go on their sleepover this week.
