POEMS BY ROOMS 7

Garth Powell —

Room 7 & 8 have been extending their vocabulary knowledge through poetry. Here is some of their fabulous work!

The Sea by Izzy

As the foaming sea bubbles

A rip starts to form

Sharp rocks are cutting the waves

It really is tropical.

Wolves by Hannah

Howling alpha

Hunting prey

Guarding precious territory

Jaws crunching bones

The moon shining bright

Thick grey fur

Warm against the breeze.

Wolves by Jasmine

Speed

Racing in the dark

Alpha hunting

Leading the pack with scent

Jaws crunching bones

Glowing moon in the dark night.

Fire by Charlie

Flames

Burning in the air

Smoke is choking me

Fire trucks racing to the emergency

Hot sparks.

Sea by Noa

Blue green turquoise

Sea

Rushing into a tsunami

Rivers lakes running free

Sparkling and magical

Flowing

Water smashing against

The rocks.

Sea by Olivia

Waves blue and green,

Bubbling in the bright sea

Rocks down in the deep dark depths

Creatures in the dark sea.

Wolves by Kimberly

Wolves running through the wild

Searching for prey

Howling at the moon

Alpha deciding who eats first

Then munching on the prey.

Fire by Eliot

Hot burning fire

Lava sliding down a volcano

Ashes circling in the air

Flames burning up the chimney.

Fire by Harry

Burning

Paper lit in flames

Hot red ashes

Smouldering smoke filling the sky

Roasting marshmallows over the fire

Cold dark ash.

Fire by Levi

Volcano erupting

Sun burning hot

Dynamite exploding

Meteors falling

Destroying Saddle Hill.

Fire by Tommy

Flames

Are burning everywhere

Hot sparks

Burning volcanoes

Fire trucks racing to the house.

Volcano by Angus W

Burning

Volcanoes going to explode

Magma rocks shooting

Spilling lava like milk

Flames burning trees

Smoke carving the sky.
