MATARIKI CELEBRATION - This Wednesday night 25 July 5.30pm at school.

To celebrate  Matariki we are having a ‘Family Night’ at school THIS WEDNESDAY, 25 July. Both our Junior and Senior Kapa Haka will perform and Juniors will present a short item. Parents and whanau are then invited to join their children for a mug of soup and a bread roll provided by the Home & School committee.

Plan for the night:

5.30pm - Get together in the Owhiro Centre. Children from each syndicate will talk about Matariki and what they did to celebrate this special event.

5.45pm - Junior/Middle (Years 1-3) Kapa Haka & Junior Team item

6.00pm - Senior (Years 4-6) Kapa Haka

6.15pm - Soup & rolls in Syndicate areas

Final get together

To help cover transport costs for our Kapa Haka to perform at the upcoming Polyfest in Dunedin we will be asking for a koha (gold coin donation) on the night.
