Welcome back to school for 2023, with a special welcome to our new families. A warm welcome also to our three new teachers - Kendall Brook in the Senior School, Lewis Howell in the Middle School and Lucy Lowery in the Junior School.

 I hope that everyone has had a relaxing holiday break, enjoying the amazing weather we have had. It was great to see students back today, settling so well into new classes and  catching up with friends.

We will be having a 'Meet the Teacher' evening on Wednesday 22 February when parents/caregivers will have have an opportunity to meet their children's teacher for a 5 minute catch up, sharing information about how children have settled in.

I have had several emails from parents concerned about the planned roadworks on SH 1, Main South Road, East Taieri which will have a significant impact on our school traffic over the next month. I have been in touch with Downer who are looking at different traffic management options. Information will be sent out once plans are finalised.

Enjoy the short week this week, as well as the upcoming long weekend, with Waitangi Day on Monday.
