Issues associated with the roadworks on SH1:

After discussion with the police and Project Manager from Fulton Hogan, the decision has been made to get all traffic turning out of Cemetery Road onto Gladstone Road between 8.30am until 9am and 3pm until 3.30pm, to turn left while detours are in place.

All SH1 traffic is being detoured down Riccarton Road and onto Gladstone Road until roadworks are completed. We all have to be patient!

There were a number of parents who made dangerous U-turns after turning left. Because Gladstone Road is so narrow, this was very unsafe.
