YEAR 6 LEADERSHIP DAY

Janine Clague —

Hanging from a pole sloping downward is not as easy as you think, especially if your not allowed to touch the ground.  Slowly I inch myself down like a caterpillar.  When I was at the bottom I had to swing on the pole and jump to the next obstacle in one motion.  After I'd done that I quickly scrambled, jumped, swung and balanced through the course now I faced about a three metre wall, and all the good hand grips spun around.

Next we went to eat, then I went on the trampoline, but we only got one minute so I went and  looked for yabbies.  We found two.  Then we went to the tight rope.  First we did it without a blindfold then with.  We were in the prettiest place on earth and I was so lucky.  Lastly we went to trust games, we played with a parachute and did the trust fall.  It was a great day.

Rumble, rumble, rumble "whisssh", the bus stops and the doors open.  I jump out of the bus and put my bag away.  We come back together, they call out the groups and we line up.  We head off with Miss Agnew to the field playing trust fall and trust games.  After playing the trust games we get the parachute out, flopping it around with a ball on top of it and crawling under it like a lion hunting for its prey.  Next we jump over the walls like a kangaroo, but on the last wall we go around the back and clamber up like a pack of monkeys.  We head back for morning tea, I was so hungry, stuffing everything I could see in my mouth.  Mr Thorn shouts "Playtime is over, get into your teams."  Standing in my team I eagerly head to the confidence course with Miss Clague.
