Resource Room Named After Christine Wright - a Teacher Assistant who has been at East Taieri for nearly 30 years.

Mrs Wright has been unwell this year and hasn’t been able to come to school. We have really missed her and have all realised just how much she does around the school and how much she knows.

Her mind is like an encyclopedia. She knows where everything is in the Resource Room, she knows which journals have which stories and articles in them, she knows which boxes have which resources in them. Ask Mrs Wright where anything is in the Resource Room and she knows straight away. She has made sure that classes have enough reading books and has looked after and put away thousands of them over her 27 years here.

Mrs Wright knows more about East Taieri School than anyone else. She is like a real East Taieri treasure. She has helped teachers look after so many children and has done so much for our school during her time here. That is why we have decided to change the name of the Resource Room to the Christine Wright Resource Room. Whenever we come in here we will all think of our amazing Mrs Wright.
