Triathlon

Huge congratulations to all of our triathletes that competed in the Dunedin Primary Schools Triathlon on Wednesday last week.  A rather chilly morning greeted us at Port Chalmers, but that didn't deter the enthusiasm of all of our triathletes.  They all warmed up well, competed with great effort and determination all while enjoying themselves.

Our results were great with any of the triathletes that finished in the top 6 qualifying for the Otago Primary School Triathlon Champs in Balclutha next month.

Flipper Ball Reports:-

ET seals 0 vs 9 MH Sharks

The team showed great determination when playing the MH sharks.

Ellie and Claudia worked hard in protecting our goal.

Player of the day went to Alice for her awesome defence and getting stuck into the game.

Conner, Noah, Ruby, Indee, Max, Caleb all zipped around the pool and worked well as a team.

This week the ET Penguins took on ‘Reel Me In’.

Some impressive skills passing and shooting by our attack players today and our defence players also worked equally hard facing some aggressive opponent attack. Fantastic to see players making themselves more available to each other and looking for space to shoot for goal.

It’s great to see everyone gaining confidence and coming together as a team, well done guys. Thanks also to our sideline supporters.

Player of the day – Carter S who seemed a natural as our goalie and defended many goals!

Two games for the ET Dolphins this weekend. Outstanding team work, communication and defense from everyone. 1st game against NEVN Bermuda 2-1 win for NEVN Bermuda. Player of the day was Angus R.2nd game against Mornington Sea Lions a 5-2 win for us. Well done Dolphins!Player of the day was Kaiah H.

The ET Shark's had a great game demonstrating teamwork and awesome defence from their goalies. They won the game 4-0. Their coach Ray was away, so they were ably led by their team captain Connor who organised positions and led from the front. Connor selected Lily M as player of the day for the way in which she backed up her teammates.  Great to see our seniors stepping up into leadership positions - well done Connor.
