A note from Otago Cricket regarding the last games and also parent spectators.
Because we have had a couple of weeks of rain we have decided to extend the programme out one more week. This means that instead of this coming week being the last session, Tuesday 29th of March will now be the last week of Girls Smash and Boys Blast in Taieri!
Please note we are asking that parents only bring one caregiver to the ground. Otago Cricket will continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation and will notify any changes as things progress.
Touch
A reminder to let your coach know if you can't make a game please. The last games will now be on Monday 4th of April.
The draw is available on the school sports website and the Otago Touch website.

Player of the day was Zoey H.
Great game! They played really well as a team and are now passing to each other. All the girls got really stuck in and were right into it.
Everyone had a great game. It was all tied up and St Joes scored in the last play of the game.
Flippa Ball
The games are all underway at Moana Pool. The draw for the season is on our school sports website.
Netball
We would love more parents to support our netball coordinator and be on the Taieri Junior Netball Committee. If you are keen to help out this year, please get in contact with Belinda Duff. We also desperately need more parents to put their hand up to coach. 2 people can not coach over 50 children. We will fully support you in your role as coach, be brave and have a go. :-)

Hockey
Registrations are open for Junior Hockey in Term 2 and 3 Check out the school sports website for more information and also the link below for the form to fill in.
Hockey is played in Dunedin at the main turf on Harbour Terrace and at Kings High School and also on the new turf at Taieri College. It is played on a Wednesday afterschool from 3.45 - 6.00pm.
Hockey is for all children from Years 3-6. There are some other hockey options available for the Year 1-2 children during different parts of the term. Keep an eye on the website and newsletters for these too.
The children do not need to have a hockey stick to play as we can lend you one from school, so it's a great opportunity to give it a go first before spending money on gear.
