A change for this year:

Traditionally we have held 5 minute ‘Meet the Teacher’ interviews early March. This year the Leadership Team found it challenging to find a night that didn’t clash with meetings, professional development and other commitments over the next three weeks. 

The purpose of these interviews has been for parents to meet their child’s new teacher. However, it was evident that teachers have already met most of the parents of children in their class, especially in the Junior School where teachers have daily conversations with many of their parents. We have decided that this year we will trial giving parents the option of making a time to meet their child’s teacher for a 5 minute chat. Parents can email teachers directly so that a convenient time can be arranged.

A reminder that mid year interviews take place next term when students’ learning progress and achievement is discussed in depth. East Taieri School has an open door policy and you are welcome to contact teachers to organise a time to catch up with teachers.

We will seek feedback on this trial later in the term.
