SPORTS TROPHIES
Can we please have all of the sports trophies from last years Winter Sports Awards returned asap to the office. If you were a recipient of a trophy at last years awards, please get these trophies cleaned and returned asap. Thank you.
TOUCH
CONGRATULATIONS to Courtney S and Hamish C who were selected into Otago Touch Representative Teams for this season. Good luck for your trainings and tournaments in Oamaru, Invercargill and Christchurch.
Games for all teams will hopefully get underway next Monday. An updated draw will be on our sports website and sports noticeboard as soon as we get it. You can also check out this webpage for all the draws.

FLIPPABALL (mini water polo)
Flippa ball gets underway this Sunday. Good luck to our teams starting out on Sunday. We look forward to some results and team reports throughout your season. When the draw is out, it can be found on our school website or this webpage for Otago Waterpolo.

SOFTBALL
An outstanding start to the season. Many thanks to Peter Wilson for coordinating the Softball season for East Taieri.
Week 1 results:-
East Taieri Tigers Red drew 20 all
East Taieri Tigers Black won 25 to 10
Players of the day will be awarded next week.
SWIMMING
Congratulations to Lily M who has been selected to join the Regional Development Swimming Squad. Lily will get to travel with the squad to specialised clinics that focus on developing swimmers with the latest technologies and teachings. It is meant for swimmers 11 and over - and Lily is still 10, it is a great achievement, well done Lily.
Tennis School Team Competition
There is a great school competition run on a Monday after school in Dunedin. If your child is interested in playing and you are interested in managing a team of players please get in contact with Jolene asap.
Details of competition are:-
This competition will be held at Logan Park Tennis Centre on Monday afternoons (4pm and 5pm).
With age appropriate rackets and balls provided as well as modified court sizes, this league provides an opportunity for beginners and more advanced players to play and enjoy tennis.
There will be four grades:
YR 4-6 Beginner/Coaching grade (No previous experience necessary)
YR 4-6 Advanced (Players can rally and score)
YR 7-8 Beginner/Coaching Grade
Yellow Ball Advanced (Competitive grade for experienced players)
YR 4-6 grades will be played from 4pm-4:50pm
Cost is $30 per player.
The competition will begin on Monday 2nd November and runs for 6 weeks .
Registrations close at 12pm on Wednesday 28th October.
