Operation Christmas Child collects shoeboxes filled with gifts and delivers them to children in need around the world.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

We decided to take part in Operation Christmas Child again this year. Each class is invited to fill a shoe box with small gifts for some of the poorest children in the world. In the last few years NZ boxes have been sent to Fiji, Samoa, Cambodia, Vanuatu and PNG. Popular items include pens, pencils, notebooks, rubbers, felt pens, small toys, tennis balls, small colouring books, soap, facecloths, hair ties, etc.Each box costs $10 to send, so children could bring a contribution towards this if they prefer.Unfortunately the time-frame is short as we have only received the boxes today and they are due this Friday 20 October.Classes with even numbers are asked to bring items for a girl and those rooms with odd numbers please bring items for a boy. Many thanks
