We welcomed our new students and their families who had joined East Taieri this term at a special Mihi Whakatau on Wednesday.

This Friday 30th June, our East Taieri senior and middle Kapa Haka groups will be performing at the Taieri Hui Ako. This biennial event is an opportunity for Taieri Kapa Haka groups to come together and perform for each other in the lead-up to Polyfest in Term 3.

Congratulations to Hayley Miller and her husband Alex who welcomed their baby boy, Theo, last week.

It takes a village to raise a child, and support staff are one of the many valuable “pieces” of our education system “jigsaw” that make children feel safe in their environment and help them reach their highest potential.

Thank you to Amy McKay who leaves her role as Supervisor of Kelly Club at the end of the term. Amy has run the programme for the past 3 years, ensuring that East Taieri is able to offer this valuable service to our families. We wish Amy well in her new ventures.

These students were noticed by staff, parents or students as displaying our school Values in specific situations.

It was great to catch several netball games and a football game on Saturday. It was a pleasure to see the enjoyment shown by the players and the fantastic support of coaches and parents. I also managed to see one of the miniball games tonight - a team of very keen players!

As you can see there is a lot of uniform in the lost property bin. A number of items are un-named or we can't read the name. Please come and check it out. There will be a clean out at the end of term.
