Wednesday Netball / Poitarawhiti

We are just over halfway through the season and have been very pleased with our ākonga and the support they have received.

Netball teams play on a Wednesday afternoon at Hagley Netball Courts. The teams play against other teams from as far as Oxford, Amuri and many other Christchurch city schools. There are games played across the thirty courts at once, which is fantastic.

Currently, we have a Senior A and B team playing, along with Junior A, B and C teams. Five teams of ākonga need a lot of support and we thank our support teams of Carey Barnett, Kerryn Jackson and Jo Maddren, along with past students Jennifer Barnett and Ashlyn Jackson, umpires Bronte Greenwood and Kayla Peace, kaiako Ms Martin and Ms Jonker and our bus driver Rosemary Laffery.

Our ākonga have been commended on their integrity on court which is pleasing to see. It is great seeing all teams making connections and enjoying sports. Thank you to all of the whānau for their support and for picking students up later in the afternoon!
