Ellesmere College International department is buzzing at the moment with students here from Japan, Thailand, China and Germany.

We are seeing a huge increase in International students studying at Ellesmere College, it takes a team of people to make these visits a success. We will forever be grateful to our wonderful homestay families, without you our department wouldn't be as successful as it is. 

We have welcomed a new homestay coordinator Noelia, she has joined the team due to the growth of International. Please bear with us during this transitional period.

It is amazing to see so many students sharing their diverse cultures with us. Our student ambassadors have been a fantastic enhancement to the department and they have taken their duties very seriously. Each day I see our students showing our RISE values. I am so proud of our student ambassadors, they have all stepped up in ways that I couldn't have asked ever for.

As part of the International programme our students get to explore what our beautiful country has to offer. We have recently been jet boating at Rakaia, Alpaca trekking, hot pools and much more.

I am looking forward to the next part of the journey and look forward to welcoming more International students to our school.
