Student Hauora Team

Next week we will be starting ‘rourou’ (our kick start breakfast club).

Kia ora

Rourou (small flax plaited food basket).

As found in the whakatauki ‘Nā tō rourou, nā taku rourou ora ai te iwi’ (With your food basket and my food basket the people will thrive).

This whakatauki talks about community and collaboration. It acknowledges that everybody has something to offer, a piece of the puzzle, and by working together we can flourish and therefore thrive.

By offering food to students we are nourishing them and fuelling their bodies and providing them with a part of the puzzle, which will enable them to thrive at school and in life.

We can all play a part in helping our students at EC thrive.

Rourou will be happening every Tuesday and Wednesday interval and with Gemma and a team of year 10 students.
