Year 11 Science

Trip to the International Antarctic Centre

This week the Y11 Science class visited the International Antarctic Centre as part of their learning for the Extreme Environments assessment.

They got to see the Penguins being fed, pat a Husky and spend time in the storm room. The adaptations that allow animals to survive in Antarctica were discussed and related to specific environmental conditions.

The students will complete their assessment during their class time over the next three weeks.
