Kia ora from the Guidance Team

We are excited to have Jo Kirrane, a youth health nurse join our team. She will be working every Monday from 9am – 3pm and will be based in the guidance offices. She has 20 years experience working with children and adolescents. Students are able to email her at for an appointment or pop in and see her at interval or lunchtime. Parents and teachers are able to make referrals by email as well.

In reflecting on what 2023 may hold for us all and the devastation in the North Island from cyclone Gabrielle. It is a reminder for us to be grateful for some of the simple things that we may take for granted, like having fresh water to drink. Being grateful for our everyday things can change our perspective on life and the way we view others and ourselves. Maybe next time you have a glass of water, pause and name some things that you are grateful for.
