The maths for room 16 & 17 has been to learn about the number 1000.

Room 16 & 17 have been asked to:

• Create groups to work with.

• With our groups, use cubes to create one big block of 1000 small cubes.

• Prove to the teacher that there are exactly 1000 small cubes in the big block of 1000.

• Once proven to the teacher, we break apart the block of 1000, and create a maze with it.

• Finally, program the Bee-bot robots to complete the maze.

Some ways to display 1000 cubes are to:

Show ten 20 x 5 blocks.

Ten 10 x 10 blocks.

It was plenty of fun to create our mazes together and program the Bee-bots!
