Reporting time

Jill Evans —

Learning is most effective when there is a strong home/school partnership. This partnership helps us achieve our school vision ”to inspire today’s learners to be successful in tomorrow’s world.”

In term 1 you and your child met with teachers at Three Way Learning conferences to talk about your child’s learning and their  R.E.A.L learner strengths. Learning goals for the first half of the year may also have been discussed.

Before the end of the term you will be receiving mid-year feedback/comments on your child’s progress and achievement in the core learning areas of Reading, Writing and Mathematics. Be sure to look out for these in our online platform - HERO. At the same time revisit your child’s Reading, Writing and Maths learning goals (green dials) to familiarise yourself with what they have achieved and what their next learning steps are.

Along with these subjects, teachers will also be reporting on the learning that has occurred during our school-wide Inquiry based around Cultural Identity. This key concept has been our focus for the first half of this year.

Encouragement and support from parents are important elements in the learning process. We encourage you take the opportunity to discuss your child’s learning with them, celebrating their successes.
