ANZAC Day

Kiwi rima and whitu —

Kiwi Whitu and Kiwi Rima enjoyed celebrating ANZAC Day on Thursday 15th April in the lead up to the school holidays.

We started the morning with the book ‘Dawn Parade’, learning about this important event that many participate in on ANZAC Day. We listened to the Last Post and read stories about ANZAC. Each class made a wreath using our handprints to lay on the school memorial.

We visited the New Zealand flag in the school grounds and lay the wreaths while singing the National Anthem. We enjoyed making delicious ANZAC biscuits, created our own medals and drew soldiers.

Lest We Forget
