Neurodiversity Celebration week

Elmwood Reception —

This is a worldwide initiative that shines a positive lens on children and adults with neurological differences.

Neurodiversity refers to the variety of ways that human brains work. Just as people have different personalities, interests, and skills, they also have different ways of processing information, learning, and interacting with the world around them. This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize the many skills and

talents of neurodivergent individuals and celebrate their super powers!

Celebrating Neurodiversity and Inclusiveness at Elmwood

At Elmwood, we strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued, understood, and accepted. One of the ways we do this is by celebrating neurodiversity—the idea that neurological differences, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other conditions, are a natural part of human diversity. Embracing these differences helps us build a more inclusive, respectful, and supportive community for all. People who are neurodivergent often have exceptional talents and abilities. By focusing on strengths, rather than limitations, we encourage a growth mindset and help everyone reach their full potential.
