Back to school
Dear Parents, We are delighted, like you no doubt, that school will be returning on Monday the 18th of May.
We are looking forward to reconnecting with you, our families, and having all the children back on site. School is a lonely, quiet place without you all. As you can appreciate there are many stringent requirements we will need to be adhering to from next Monday and for the duration of Alert level 2.
We are currently working through the Ministry of Education guidelines as to how they will work for us and we will convey this to you tomorrow, so please look out for our communication. There will be important information to note.
To give you a bit of a heads up, we will be required to minimise entry of adults, including parents onto the school site. If you do need to come on site, at any stage, we will be needing to record your name and child’s name for contact tracing purposes. Logistically this will be challenging, however we are required to do it. We will give more information tomorrow on the process of drop offs and pickups, amongst other information you will need to know.
We have included in this publication some information about school uniforms, as we know many of you have been asking about this. We appreciate that equipping your child with the appropriate winter uniform has been a bit challenging. For the first two or three weeks back, summer uniforms are able to be worn, until you can get into the uniform shop to purchase winter uniforms. Please read the article.
There are a couple of other articles in this publication, showcasing some of the wonderful writing by our students during lockdown. Enjoy.
Warm regards
Paul
