We have been working alongside schools in assisting struggling Year 2 - 11 students in Maths / English / Reading / Spelling / Comprehension & Extension Tutoring over many years, resulting in greater student confidence and improving educational results. Nomads Mini Kickers Football Programme
Nomads United AFC is excited to launch our new Mini Kickers programme for kids aged 2 & 3 years old. Mini Kickers is the perfect introduction to the fun world of football. During each session we encourage parents to partake alongside their young budding player! With each activity and exercise designed to focus on a core aspect of foundational skills, striking the ball, dribbling, goal scoring, all underpinned by the biggest one of creating as fun an environment as possible for these young players.
There will also be dedicated time in each session where kids and their parents can have free play and self-guided discovery with equipment and fields set up to allow a genuine love of the game to flourish!

Spanish lessons
Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world.
Learning Spanish gives learners a new understanding of English grammar rules.
My name is Cassie Flores. I have been teaching Spanish for over seventeen years here in Christchurch. I taught at Selwyn House, and currently I teach at Medbury and Saint Michael’s school. I am from México.
Lessons will begin on week 4 Tuesday 18th of February 2025 last lesson Tuesday 8th of April. One-hour lesson from: 3:20 – 4:20 on Tuesday. $180.00 for an eight-week term.

Culture Galore 8 March 2025

Culture Galore is the Council’s annual event that celebrates the ethnic diversity of the city. This year over 30 ethnic groups will be offering cultural performances and demonstration at the free event at Ray Blank Park on Maidstone Rd, showcasing the music, dance, heaps of ethnic food, arts and crafts of cultures from around the world.
Performances range from traditional songs and dances from Mexico, Ukraine, China, Korea, India, Japan, Philippines, Poland and more! And you can also sample some of the appetising ethnic cuisines from one of the many food stalls.
As well as amazing performances there is a huge range of have a go activities and fun for the kids, such as:
Flax weaving
Bouncy castles
Face painting
NZ Fire Brigade with their evacuation challenge maze
Soft archery
Canterbury Cricket dive mat
Primary School Sports Top Team Trailer
FC Twenty 11

Kung Fu School
Held at Fendalton Community Centre Recreation Hall.
We teach students from age 5 right up to adults in their 70's.
The Kung Fu School has been running in Christchurch for over five years. This term, we are focused on growing our children’s class for students aged 7-11.
Students from Elmwood Normal School are invited to attend a free trial class with us. We also offer classes for teens and adults aged 12+ if any siblings would like to take up the offer as well. See attached flyer

Canvas Bag Drama School
Canvas Bag Drama School's after school drama classes for ages 5-18 are back for 2025 under new leadership with Harry Lawrence taking the helm after Felicity moving to be the organisations patron. We have spaces available across all campuses. This year we continue with our strong support in Merivale (Rangi Ruru Girls School), Halswell (Halswell Community Centre) but also are now proud to offer classes in Bromley Reserve (Bromley Reserve Community Centre).
