Marport Pro - Door Explorer Overview by Marport Support Channel

Marport Door Explorer Pro

Electronic Navigations Ltd - December 13, 2023

Hybrid Dual Function Door Spread sensor with Sounder

A powerful door sensor that single-handedly provides measurements that previously had to be obtained from two separate sensors.

Marport Door Explorer Pro sensors provide:

  1. The distance (spread) between the trawl doors (or clump), plus
  2. a (TE) echosounder echogram below the trawl door (view door proximity to seafloor)
  3. Door Depth, Pitch & Roll behaviour (included as standard)
  4. (Optional) Door distance/ranging & positioning*
  5. (Optional) Temperature logging **

This information is all provided in real time in higher resolution and faster transmission time (wirelessly) up to the vessel bridge than has been accomplished before.

* With the optional "BPO" license, the sensor/s provides information on tilt, depth, and position.

**A temperature license is also available as an option.

The Door Explorer sensors can last up to to 10 days on a single battery charge (depends on functions/settings selected).

Two models to select from:

Option 1: One stubby sensor with one battery that can be installed on port and starboard doors, or

Option 2: One XL sensor with 2 batteries to improve the battery life, that can be installed on port, starboard doors and clump.

The sensors can be installed on single, twin, triple and quadruple trawls. Door and clump alignment can be monitored thanks to a real time 3D view of the trawl gear on Scala2 application.

They are compatible with Marport Dock product, with which you can easily charge, monitor, configure and update the connected sensors (up to 4).
