TZ Sonar Module
This (optional) Sonar Module (license) can be purchased and added to TZ Pro (v5) to allow interface with Furuno FSV-25 Mk2 model sonar. FSV-25 Mk2 is FURUNO's new flagship long range omnidirectional low frequency searching sonar.
The interface will allow TZ Pro (v5) to display the FSV-25 Mk2 sonar image, and control some basic sonar operation functions (range, tilt, gain control) via the TZ Pro PC (Computer). This can be very handy for vessels with multiple workstations, and allows greater flexibility when using bridge switching matrix systems (video distribution & control).
Interface
The vessels TZ Professional PC is interfaced to the FSV-25 Mk2 processor by LAN (Ethernet) connection interface (utilizing FURUNO HUB-100 switching HUB).
Sonar Overlay
The FSV-25 Mk2 sonar image can be viewed on TZ Pro v5 in conjunction with your TZ data. Much like Radar Overlay, Sonar Overlay allows you to compare and relate sonar target images relative to installed charting/bathymetry and relative to your own fishing data (lines, marks etc.). This really allows you to take advantage of TZ's powerful arrange of fishing tools.
- A "Transmission Start" popup appears on the TZ Professional screen while the transducer is transmitting (sonar transducer is projected).
- A "Standby" popup appears on the TZ Professional screen while the transducer is in standby mode (sonar transducer is retracted).
Please note: the TZ Sonar Module is NOT compatible with other model FURUNO sonars (including FSV-25 Mk1), or other brands of sonar (FSV-25 Mk2 only).
