UPDATE FROM TE HIRINGA HAUORA/HEALTH PROMOTION AGENCY

Health Promotion Agency —

Te Hiringa Hauora/Health Promotion Agency is an essential business while New Zealand is in Alert Level 4. Everyone at Te Hiringa Hauora is working hard to ensure our health promotion operations continue amid the unprecedented challenges of the current COVID-19 situation.

We remain focused on our mission to inspire all New Zealanders to lead healthier lives, but we’ve had to change the way we work.

· As the safety, health and wellbeing of our staff, partners, stakeholders and contractors is a critical focus, Te Hiringa Hauora operations have moved to a virtual office for the foreseeable future – all of our staff are working from home, with everyone contactable via their usual phone numbers and email addresses. Meetings are taking place by video conference or phone, and the Te Hiringa Hauora office at Level 16, 101 The Terrace, Wellington is now closed to the public.

· We will be contacting stakeholders about deliverables and timeframes within existing contracted projects to check whether the projects are on track or whether variations to existing contracts are required because of COVID-19. Te Hiringa Hauora’s contract managers will be in touch shortly to check the progress of projects.

If you are feeling anxious or stressed text the ‘Need to talk?’ service on 1737 or visit depression.org.nz and thelowdown.co.nz for ways to cope with COVID-19 anxiety. Feeling anxious and stressed at this time is normal. There is also information for workplaces on wellplace.nz.

In situations such as this, it’s incredibly important that everyone receives, and shares, credible, up-to-date health information and advice. We acknowledge this is a challenging and uncertain time for everyone. While we are in Alert Level 4, we all need to monitor and support the advice of the New Zealand Government.

Please take care of yourself, your whānau and those around you. He waka eke noa.
